I'm Lina, and I'm passionate about empowering individuals on their journey to healing and growth. With a diverse background in hospital social work, outpatient mental health services, and inpatient psychiatric care, I have gained invaluable experience and insights that enable me to support a wide range of clients facing emotional and mental health challenges.
I'm a virtual only therapist with experience in helping adults and teens understand life change and human development.
I bring an open-minded, compassionate, and warm presence to our work together. I strive to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, respected, and understood without judgment. I’m naturally inquisitive and curious, which means I will thoughtfully explore your experiences with you, helping uncover patterns, strengths, and new perspectives.
Hello!
I am an LPC and a Registered Art Therapist (ATR); I use art therapy in my sessions with clients to help the process.
Hi, I’m a licensed therapist who helps people feel more grounded, supported, and in control of their lives. I have a strong background in clinical social work and training in evidence‐based approaches that support healing and real change. I specialize in anxiety, life transitions, relationship stress, and helping clients build healthier patterns. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and empowered.
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC). I graduated from Lamar University in August 2024 with a master's degree in counseling and development. I earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston – Downtown in 2012 with a major in psychology and a minor in sociology. My very first degree was an associate's in Arts from Houston Community College. I have worked in the field for about 12 years.
Looking for someone who will truly listen and meet you where you are? I believe everyone needs support at times, and I strive to be that steady, compassionate presence in therapy. Clients often describe me as warm, open-minded, and easy to talk to. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, respected, and comfortable showing up exactly as you are—without pressure or judgment.
I am a Licensed Psychologist in Texas and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist who specializes in treating children, adolescents, and adults with social-emotional, behavioral, and educational needs. I received my Ph.D. in School Psychology from New York University in 2008 and completed an APA-approved clinical psychology internship at the Devereux Foundation in Pennsylvania. I have received training in both private and public school settings, outpatient settings, hospitals, and in specialized educational programs for children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs. I participated in a Family and Multicultural Therapy program for two years at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City where I received supervised family therapy and multicultural competency-based training. In addition to my clinical work, I am an Assistant Professor in the School Psychology Program at Texas State University. My research seeks to understand and promote diversity and inclusion in educational settings. I am particularly interested in studying the development of and consequences associated with children’s social (e.g., gender stereotypes) and academic (e.g., growth mindset) cognitions. My research also involves developing and evaluating interventions to promote positive social and academic outcomes.
Seeking support takes courage, and you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. My goal is to create a warm, collaborative environment where we can explore what's keeping you stuck and build practical tools that help you move toward the life you want.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, perfectionism, self-worth concerns, and depression. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, navigating a major change, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, we'll work together to develop lasting skills and meaningful insight.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Psychology from Texas A&M University and my Master of Social Work from the University of Houston. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both California and Texas and provide secure telehealth therapy to adults in both states.
If you're ready to take the next step, I'd be honored to support you on your journey.
