I have been a therapist since 2008. I have experience working with child and adolescent mental health, families and trauma. I am trained in several modalities including child parent relational therapy, play therapy, CBT, TF- CBT and person-centered therapy. I also work with adults with an emphasis on managing stress and supporting clients in reaching their best version of themselves. I believe in the power of empathy and resilience to foster positive change.
I got my MA in Dance/Movement Therapy and Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2009 and have since worked mostly in community mental health. I'm excited to move more fully into working with women in transitional spaces of life looking for support and validation about their desires and next steps. I also work with preschool age children in their homes or school to help behavioral and relationship issues.
Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck—emotionally exhausted, burdened by anxiety, or repeating the same unhelpful patterns in relationships, work, or self-care. Often, they're high-functioning on the outside but privately carrying a lot of pain, doubt, or confusion. They may be processing trauma, adjusting to a major life change, or working to break free from addiction or longstanding emotional struggles.
What they need is clarity, direction, and a nonjudgmental space to do the work. They’re not looking for surface-level solutions—they want something real. They want to better understand themselves, challenge the beliefs that keep them stuck, and move toward a life that actually feels meaningful.
Their goals vary—some want to build healthier relationships, some want to manage anxiety or heal from trauma, and others just want to feel more grounded and in control. But all of them are looking for growth, relief, and a sense of inner stability.
Welcome! You are at the right place at the right time! My name is Alexis Lett, currently located in Fayetteville, NC. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) I have a fresh and innovative and holistic approach to mental health. I have worked in the public service and community mental health field collectively for 10 years working with ages 16-90 years old. I have worked with individuals who experienced SPMI (severe persistent mental illness), anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, and more.
I received my MSW from UNC-Wilmington when I was in my 40's. I'm thankful to have found my passion--I love being present with people, hearing their stories, and working together to create transformation.
