I am dedicated to creating a supportive and collaborative space where you can feel heard and understood. My work is guided by a passion for helping individuals navigate challenges, uncover their strengths, and achieve personal growth. I prioritize staying up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices through ongoing learning and professional development.
I am a pilgrim in progress, a man of faith, a student of people, a mental health counselor, and an avid lover of stories. I am grateful to have a Bachelor of Science in Religion from Liberty University, and both a Master's of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary. Professionally, I have worked with individuals and families from a variety of backgrounds including: grief, trauma, gender and sexuality, addiction, faith and spirituality, anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders (ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, etc.). I have served clients across a variety of ages, children to adults both in clinical settings and also in community (professional Christian ministry) settings.
Better tomorrows are ahead with a guide willing to help along the way. Brett has been helping clients reach better tomorrows for more than a decade. His primary areas of focus have been couples issues, substance use, anger management, trauma, anxiety, depression, and general every day stress. No problem is too big that we cannot come to solutions, together.
My priority is helping you reach your goals. To that end, I often use a combination of Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution-Focused, and Narrative therapies, primarily, to help you reach those goals.
As a whole, my approach is positive and looks to help you build in a healthy way. My job is to listen and help you get to a healthier place in your life. Let me be your guide and see how life can be.
Hi, I’m Jackie, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in trauma and anxiety. I work with adults who feel stuck in survival mode—struggling with chronic anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and constant overwhelm.
I specialize in childhood trauma, relationship trauma, and first-generation stress, and I bring my Latina background into my work with clients who are navigating cultural expectations, family pressure, and the emotional weight of being “the strong one.”
Using EMDR and nervous-system-based, trauma-informed approaches, I help you move beyond just understanding your experiences to actually calming your nervous system—so you can feel more grounded, present, and safe in your body, not just more self-aware.
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and the Unified Protocol (UP).
Life can feel heavy sometimes. Maybe you’ve been carrying stress, anxiety, relationship struggles, or emotional exhaustion for longer than anyone realizes. You might feel overwhelmed trying to keep up with everything while quietly wishing you had a space where you could finally exhale and just be yourself. Therapy is a place where you don’t have to have it all figured out. I work with adults, teens, and children who are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and everyday challenges while learning healthier ways to cope, heal, and reconnect with themselves.
