Everyone deserves a space where they feel heard, valued, and empowered to grow. As a licensed mental health therapist, I’m dedicated to creating that space for my clients, fostering a journey of healing and transformation.
Originally from the Midwest, I found my heart and home in Florida when I moved here for school in 2014. The sunshine, warm community, and opportunities to grow professionally made me stay! When I’m not working, I love spending time with friends and family—movie nights, game nights, and afternoons at the park with my nephew are some of my favorite ways to recharge and stay connected.
With over five years of experience, I’ve worked closely with children, adolescents, young adults, and families to address a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, PTSD, grief, sexual trauma, childhood trauma, self-esteem struggles, bullying, and LGBTQ+ issues. I also have experience supporting individuals with autism, antisocial personality disorder, and schizophrenia.
I am a bilingual (English/Japanese) licensed mental health counselor and have over 10 years of experience helping people unpack old unwanted patterns while building a more empowered mind. I had the privilege to work extensively with active duty Marines and Sailors and their family members in the last six years. Now I am ready to work with clients utilizing the knowledge and skills I acquired through serving people who served our country facing life and various emotional challenges.
I truly enjoy helping people achieve their goals for emotional well-being. Whether you are experiencing anxiety or depression, or simply struggling with motivation, I would love to help you on your journey! I have 20+ years experience working as a therapist. I am a graduate of Northern Michigan University and University of Michigan. My professional internships were completed at Marquette General Hospital Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Ward and at the University of Toledo Student Counseling Center. Following graduate school, I worked as a counselor for foster and adopted children. I also worked as a K- 8th grade school counselor. In 2002, I joined the United States Air Force, where I spent 8 years working to improve the mental health of military members and their families. While deployed, I operated a combat stress clinic and responded to emergent mental health needs of soldiers, sailors and airmen. After separating from the USAF, I have continued working as a therapist, serving adults from various backgrounds. I embrace diversity, and welcome all people!

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, mood changes, difficulty focusing, or the weight of past experiences, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out on your own.
I’m Adelma Reyes, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with over 20 years of experience working with adults. I support people navigating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and trauma-related concerns.
I believe therapy is a space where you can feel truly heard, understood, and supported. Together, we’ll gently explore what’s been weighing on you, make sense of patterns that may be holding you back, and build practical tools to help you feel more grounded and in control. My hope is that you leave sessions feeling clearer, stronger, and more connected to yourself. I offer therapy in both English and Spanish.
I offer a safe, respectful, nonjudgmental space where you can talk openly about what’s on your mind. I see therapy as a partnership, with your goals, values, and voice guiding our work. I tailor sessions to your needs using evidence-based tools, and I may suggest simple between-session practices to help you build insight, resilience, and lasting change.
