Do you struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, eating concerns, or substance use challenges that affect your relationships, self-esteem, daily life, or ability to feel like yourself? Do you feel exhausted by simply trying to get through the day, manage overwhelming thoughts, or meet expectations that feel impossible? Do you wonder if life could feel more manageable, peaceful, and fulfilling?
I believe healing is possible, and you do not have to navigate these struggles alone. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted as you are.
Together, we will work to better understand the patterns, experiences, and beliefs that may be keeping you stuck. I will help you build practical tools for coping, strengthen self-compassion, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.
Helping women heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves is my passion. I would be honored to support you as you take the next step toward feeling more grounded, confident, and in control of your life.

I am extremely passionate about working with children, teens, and adults who have experienced trauma. I received a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston - Clear Lake. I am certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am LGBTQ+ affirming and inclusive of all religions and cultural backgrounds.
I am a dedicated clinician with years of experience. My practice is built on the pillars of integrity, respect, and compassion. I focus on ensuring that everyone feels heard and supported. I specialize in helping clients manage complex symptoms and stressors that may feel overwhelming.
I became a therapist to be safe space for people who didn't feel like they had one. I earned my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy so I could be equipped to help couples navigate their struggles and be that safe space for anyone who needed it. No one should feel like they have to do life alone.
Welcome. My name is Beatriz Alaniz or "Betty" and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas. I provide a warm and welcoming environment with a focus on individuals who have experienced trauma, losses, grief, and relationship woes seeking healing. I believe in people's capability to be resilient in the face of adversity. I will work with you to make sure you can see yourselves as the resilient individual you are.
Before I ever attended college, I found I enjoyed helping people with fitness training and herbs. After homeschooling for several years, I obtained a teachers license and found I preferred working one on one. I enjoy helping people become successful in life. I offer faith based, and integrated health counseling for a holistic touch.
I truly believe in the process of healing, growth, and accountability that therapy can provide. Are you looking for a space to learn more about yourself, function better, and find more fulfillment in your life? I would be honored to walk alongside you. I sometimes joke that therapy can work to “retrain your brain,” but there is truth to that statement. Let’s find a way to increase your peace and mindfully create goals to work towards the future you have in mind.
Therapy is a journey that is not always the easiest to embark upon and just showing up is half the battle. As a therapist it’s my job to gently guide you through this process. Developing a therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of therapy. In the first few appointments, I will get to know you and the issues that you are facing. From there we will work together on your goals. I am laid back, and utilize a variety of treatment approaches depending on your needs. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the State of Texas. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Baylor University and my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. I have experience treating adults, young adults, adolescents, and families in various settings. I have worked in hospitals and the criminal justice system. I utilize psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral approaches in working with my clients. I am EMDR trained and enjoy working with trauma and anxiety. I enjoy coffee, college sports, my dogs, travel, and collecting mechanical watches.
