Whether you're facing a crisis, struggling with the lasting effects of trauma, or are feeling stuck in patterns that are holding you back, you don't have to go through it alone. Our work begins wherever you're at. I have extensive experience treating children, adolescents and adults with a range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, chronic illness, behavioral challenges, ADHD,relationship issues, and challenges adjusting to life changes. We’ll explore your emotional patterns, relationships, and the ways you respond to difficult thoughts and feelings—so you can build flexibility, resilience, and lasting change.
I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 17 years of experience supporting adolescents, adults, and older adults on their mental health journeys.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and empowering. I believe that understanding yourself is the foundation of healing, and I focus on giving my clients practical tools, education, and guidance they can use every day—not just during sessions.
In our first session, I take the time to truly listen and understand your story, your goals, and the challenges you’re facing. Together, we’ll create a personalized and realistic treatment plan designed to support your growth, emotional well-being, and long-term success.
I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that helps you feel seen, supported, and equipped to move forward. My goal is to help you build confidence, develop lasting skills, and become the strongest version of yourself—one step at a time.
I have been trained in expressive arts therapy and is a certified gestalt therapist. I utilizes the arts according to each person’s abilities to imagine and develop body awareness. My eclectic approach suits people who seek to find themselves in mental health. As a blind Japanese immigrant, I work especially well with differently-abled people and Pan Asians.
I’ve been working with women, children and families for over 15 years in individual counseling, group settings, and program development. My expertise lies in helping people understand their own emotional experience, to use words not violence, to cope, to reduce impulsive and compulsive behavior, to advocate for themselves.
I believe to live fully, we must feel. Intensely. Viscerally. Freely. To feel pride and pain, joy and frustration. To taste the freedoms of life, as well as its restraints. To reconcile thoughts, actions and emotions that are often at odds. To square all of this with culture, beliefs, and history. To live fully is when a sense of equity, equality and balance is awakened. To live fully is to gain perspective and know that you can weather all of it, and not be overcome by these complexities, but learn to integrate them, for a full life.

Welcome! If you’re here, you’ve already taken an important step toward understanding yourself and creating meaningful change. With over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, I’ve worked with diverse individuals navigating complex personal and relational challenges.
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, high-functioning individuals who may appear to have everything together externally, yet internally feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or weighed down by anxiety, life transitions, trauma, chronic illness, or loss. I aim to create a space where you can show up as your full, authentic self without judgment.
As a Black, queer, Caribbean/LatinX individual who practices therapy from a non-oppressive and radically authentic lens I draw on over ten years of experience working with women, children and communities of color around topics of equity, sexuality, education, LGBTQ+, and trauma. I use my knowledge and background to analyze issues with a strong understanding of the systems, personal history and survival skills that influence your identity today. I am interested in understanding 'personal language' (emotions and perspective) to address the current design of your relationships and encourage transformations better suited for your goals
I address concerns with family dynamics, infidelity, trauma in relationships, cultural concerns, interracial identities, breaking generational cycles, shifts in desires, sex therapy, communications challenges & non traditional relationships.
