I've been a licensed psychologist for about 30 years. Over that period, I've worked with clients presenting with all kinds of life situations and presenting problems. I have particular expertise around anxiety disorders, depression, trauma and substance use issues.
I am a compassionate and dynamic clinician whose mission is to positively impact, inspire and empower my clients. I have worked with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, dysfunctional family dynamics, inter generational trauma, post-traumatic stress, intimate partner violence and, racism. I am culturally responsive and skilled in a variety of therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, Solution Focused Therapy & Motivational interviewing.
I believe the client is the expert of their experience and aim to meet them where they are. I open my heart and expertise to create a gentle sanctuary full of empathy for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings at their own pace. Therapy can be awkward and scary at times; it works best when there is collaborative and trusting relationship to help clients in areas of need, while empowering them to use their strengths and learn tools to overcome difficulties. Therapy can also be rewarding a self-reflecting process, and I am honored to be a part of it for any period.
I focus on creating a comfortable and safe environment to help you reach your goals. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who are struggling with anxiety, panic disorder, relationship issues, stress management and adjustment disorders with both individuals and couples.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with a master’s degree in education, and I’ve been practicing for 12 years. My experience spans a wide range of communities and needs, including individuals with developmental disabilities, people navigating substance use challenges, and clients from culturally diverse backgrounds.
My clinical foundation is rooted in behavior modification and cognitive behavioral therapy, and I use these approaches to help clients understand patterns, build new skills, and create meaningful change.
I like to begin by learning about each client’s hopes, dreams, and vision for their life. I believe that real transformation starts with discovering a sense of happiness and alignment within yourself—once that inner foundation is in place, everything else begins to come together.
At The Curious Cat Therapy, I work with tweens, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, family challenges, and life transitions. I enjoy working with motivated clients who want to better understand themselves, build new skills, and create meaningful change. As a therapist, I offer a supportive approach that balances compassion with accountability. Together, we'll identify patterns, develop practical coping strategies, and work toward healthier ways of managing life's challenges. I bring authenticity, curiosity, and humor into therapy when appropriate, creating a space where growth feels both achievable and genuine.
I am accepting new clients for tele-health appointments. I provide medication management for: anxiety, depression, bipolar, and/or ADHD. I have after-hour appointments and Saturday availability.
