My approach is warm, affirming, and trauma-informed. I integrate EMDR with ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) and other evidence-based strategies to support clients dealing with OCD, complex PTSD, and chronic shame. Sessions are collaborative and attuned—you’ll never feel rushed or reduced to a diagnosis.
I specialize in working with queer and trans adults, survivors of complex trauma (including medical trauma), and individuals navigating anxiety tied to identity, safety, and belonging. My work with OCD includes contamination fears, intrusive harm or sexual thoughts, religious scrupulosity, and perfectionism—often themes deeply rooted in early experiences of fear or control.
I hold a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision, am EMDR-Certified, and have served the LGBTQ+ community for over two decades. Welcome! I have 30 years of experience supporting people through a variety of life challenges. I am a trauma-informed therapist and my specialties include helping with anxiety, trauma, stress management, life transitions, and depression. My deep, intuitive understanding includes lived experience, and clinical wisdom that only comes with decades of practice and life.
My approach to therapy includes Somatic-Focused therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Compassion-Focused therapy, Polyvagal-informed, and Psychodynamic therapy. I am also a Certified Yoga Therapist so I am able to integrate the ancient tools of yoga into my work with you if you are interested; breath-based gentle movement, meditation, visualization, etc. The breath is the gateway to the central nervous system--calming and strengthening it is the key to reducing anxiety and healing trauma. This broad approach allows me to meet you where you are at while holding a safe, supportive space for you.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My areas of focus includes helping individuals move towards the path of mental health and wellness and my therapeutic techniques includes effective and evidence-based therapeutic approaches. My educational and background and professional experiences consist of a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia, MO, along with 20 plus years in the field of social services working with a diverse population and settings.
